Thoran

Thoran (pronounced [t̪oːɾan]) is a dry Keralite dish (south India), made of vegetables like pea, unripe jackfruit, carrot or cabbage with grated coconut.
It is usually served as part of the Sadhya.

Ingredients
- Payar (long string beans)- 1 bundle
- Coconut - 1 cup
- Chili powder - 1 tablespoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 gloves
Preparation
- Cut the beans into very tiny pieces.
- Cook it well with salt in a closed pan until.
- Water should be just enough to cook.
- Pour about 2 tsp of oil in it when it is cooked.
- Now crush the coconut with garlic and turmeric and chilli powder.
- Put it in the payar. Close it and cook for about 10 minutes.
- Then open it and simmer it until it is dry and separated from another.
