Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends, later renamed Thomas and Friends is a children's television series, based on the Railway Series of children's books by the Rev. W. Awdry, and which was first broadcast in 1984. Season 12 is due to premiere in 2008[citation needed]. It will be the first season to feature Pierce Brosnan,[1] who will narrate both UK and US Versions.
So far, three new characters[2] have been confirmed as appearing in Season 12:
- Flora (a yellow steam tram who pulls a green double-decker coach similar to Bulgy's green livery)
- Hank (a Big Dark Blue American engine)
- Colin (a crane)
In addition, Stanley from The Great Discovery DVD special will also appear.[2]
While it is highly probable that Thomas the Tank Engine and the other main characters from previous Seasons will once again appear, no further information has so far been released by the producers to confirm or deny this.
