The Thomas Paine Cottage in New Rochelle, New York was the home of Thomas Paine, author of Common Sense and Revolutionary War hero. It was built in 1793 after a fire destroyed the previous home. The cottage was moved to its current location, on land that was also part of the 300-acre farm owned by Paine, in 1908. The house is a National Historic Landmark and is currently operated as a museum.
It is located at 20 Sicard Avenue in New Rochelle.
It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1972.[1][3]
