Thomas Neir

Thomas Neir was born on September 2 in Kirkland, Washington State.
Thomas Neir is the founder and was the Chief executive officer of the Pacific Coffee Company from the time of the company's founding until May 2005. Thomas Neir had also been a hi-tech company executive and senior financial analyst for years.

In 1979, he got Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Washington and in 1988, MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business, University of Virginia.

Since 1988, Mr Thomas Neir had worked for a California-based hi-tech company, Tendam Computers, as senior financial analyst and marketing analyst. In late 1990, Mr Neir was transferred to Hong Kong as area finance manager and other top executive positions of the group.
[edit] Foundation of the Pacific Coffee Company
In Hong Kong, Mr Thomas Neir discovered there was a lack of European-style coffee houses and then he set up the Pacific Coffee Company, targeted at top business persons and senior executive-level customers in Hong Kong. The first retail outlet was located in the Bank of America Tower, Central, Hong Kong.
Now, the number of Pacific Coffee Company stores and outlets is around 70 in Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai. Its annual revenue is $20 millions.
