Thomas Naylor

Thomas Naylor was the founder of the Second Vermont Republic and is a Professor Emeritus of Economics at Duke University. He is a civil libertarian and anti-consumerist who has authored many books about American society. He was a co-contributor to the book Affluenza: The All-Consuming Epidemic ISBN 1-57675-199-6, which states his beliefs that the Democratic party is fundamentally dead. It takes its name from the anti-consumerist term "affluenza".
