Thomas Metzger

Thomas Metzger (born 1933) is an American Sinologist and scholar of Chinese politics and society. He is currently Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institute, Stanford University. He specializes in the intellectual and institutional history of China, studying both the premodern and modern periods. Metzger has also written on U.S.–China policy issues.
