Thomas Manning (bishop)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Thomas Manning was a Tudor Bishop. Elected Prior of Butley in 1528, and Suffragan Bishop of Ipswich[1] in 1536, he had to surrender these offices in 1538 having fallen foul of Thomas Cromwell; after which he was appointed Master of Mettingham College [2]. His will dated 1645, and proved 1646, indicates that his wife pre-deceased him [3] .
