Thomas Karlsson

Thomas Karlsson is a scholar, with an M.A. in the History of Ideas and another in History of Religion at Stockholm University, and currently a Ph.D. candidate at the same university, where, in the summer of 2007, has held the first Swedish course ever in Western Esotericism. He is an occultist with many years of experience, and an esoteric writer. Founder and head of magical order of Dragon Rouge, a Left-Hand Path initiatory organization. As a book author he concentrates on occult and paranormal topics. He is also associated with heavy metal bands, Therion and Shadowseeds.

Thomas Karlsson is the lyricist of symphonic metal band Therion, and has written almost all the band's lyrics since 1996. He also provided the whispers on the Therion song "Ljusalfheim" on their Secret of the Runes album. Nevertheless, Karlsson was never regarded as an official band member.
