Thomas K. Harris

Thomas K. Harris (died March 18, 1816) was an American politician who represented Tennessee in the United States House of Representatives.

He studied law, was admitted to bar, and practiced in Sparta and McMinnville, Tennessee. He was a trustee of Priestly Academy in Sparta, Tennessee and a member of the Tennessee Senate from 1809 until 1811. He was elected as a Democratic-Republican to the Thirteenth Congress, which lasted from March 4, 1813 to March 3, 1815. He died from wounds he received in an encounter with Col. John W. Simpson on March 18, 1816, on the old Kentucky Road at Shells Ford of Collins River, between Sparta and McMinnville, Tennessee.
