Thomas Joseph Murphy

Thomas Joseph Murphy (October 3, 1932 - June 26, 1997) was an American bishop in the Catholic Church. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, where he was ordained a priest in 1958.
Murphy was the Bishop of Great Falls (1978-87) and the Archbishop of Seattle from 1991 until his death from cancer in 1997.
Archbishop Murphy High School in Everett, Washington, is named in his honor.
