Thomas Jefferson Middle School (TJMS) is a public middle school in Vancouver, Washington. The school houses sixth, seventh, and eight grade students from the ages of eleven to fourteen. TJMS was opened in 2005 and is the newest middle school in the Vancouver, Washington area. The school is named after Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States.

TJMS is part of the Vancouver School District and is located immediately adjacent to the Felida Elementary School. The school is located in the heart of the Felida area of Vancouver, Washington. The enrollment at the school was 833 students during the 2006 school year. The school's first principal is Marianne Thompson and the Associate Principals are Mark Cain and Anita Chase.
The school's nickname is "The Explorers." As a middle school, students compete academically and in sports activities against other middle schools in the surrounding area. During these competitions, students compete under either the TJMS name or as "The Explorers".
TJMS has an active parent, teacher, student organization which helps fundraising, arranges volunteers and works with students, teachers and parents to assist the educational and emotional development of the children.[1]

Washington State conducts statewide standardized testing. Current test results may be found by checking with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. [2]

In addition to traditional middle school courses, students may participate in the Student leadership program, which is an elective course.

The school offers an intramural program as well as interscholastic sports in:
- Fall: Volleyball, 7th grade Flag Football, 8th grade Tackle Football.
- Winter: Swimming, Girls Basketball, Wrestling(7th and 8th grade only)
- Spring: Boys and Girls Track(6, 7 & 8th grades)
