Thomas Hillhouse (adjutant general)

Thomas Hillhouse was adjutant general of the New York City volunteers depot during the American Civil War.
Hillhouse was a native of Geneva, New York, in Ontario County. Before the Civil War, he served as an elected member of the New York State Senate representing the 26th District from 1860–61.
Following the war, he served as the New York State Comptroller from 1866–67.
