Thomas Hill (author)

Thomas Hill, (b. ca. 1528) was the author of the first popular book in English about gardening, entitled The Gardener's Labyrinth, first printed in 1577. The key value in the book lies not so much in the originality of the information contained therein, but in the informal style and approach, and enthusiasm, of the author.
An edition of the work was published by Oxford University Press in 1987, edited by Richard Mabey LCC SB453.3.G7H48 ISBN 0-19-217763-X
