Thomas Greiss (born January 29, 1986 in Füssen, West Germany) is a German professional ice hockey goaltender. He was drafted by the San Jose Sharks as their third-round pick in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, #94 overall. He currently plays for the Worcester Sharks of the AHL. He played for San-Jose in pre-season games. On January 8th, 2008 he was officially recalled to replace Dimitri Pätzold as Evgeni Nabokov's backup goaltender. He started his first game on January 13, 2008 in an eventual 4–3 overtime loss to the Anaheim Ducks.[1]
