Sir Thomas Gery Cullum (1741 - 1831) was a medical doctor educated at London Charterhouse who later practiced surgery at Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, where he served as an alderman. Cullum was the son of Sir John Cullum, fifth Baronet, of Hardwick House, Hardwick, Suffolk. Cullum became seventh Baronet on the death of his brother. Cullum was a well-regarded writer on science and on botany. He was married to Mary Hanson of Normanton, West Yorkshire, who was heiress of her brother 'Sir' Levett Hanson, chamberlain to the Duke of Modena.[1]
