Thomas G. Waites is an American actor and acting instructor.
Waites was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since the 1970s, he has appeared in over 30 television and film productions. Currently, Waites teaches and owns the Thomas G. Waites Acting Studio in New York City.
Waites has been a member of the Actor's Studio since 1984. Some of Waites' credits as a television actor include NYPD Blue, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Oz, Law & Order and The Jury. As for film, Waites has appeared in Unwed Father, State of Grace, ...And Justice for All, Gangland, and An American Affair. On Broadway, Waites was in American Buffalo, Awake and Sing! and Search and Destroy. He played Fox in the Walter Hill film The Warriors and Windows in the John Carpenter film The Thing.
Al Pacino, Vincent Pastore and the New York Times have reportedly said good things about Waites' acting and teaching.
