Thomas E. Knight

Thomas E. Knight, Jr. (June 19, 1898–May 17, 1937) was an American politician who served as Lieutenant Governor of Alabama from 1935 to 1939.
Knight was the prosecuter in the Scottsboro trials in the 1930's. He represented Victoria Price and Ruby Bates who were wrongly accusing nine black boys of rape. Read Dan Carter's Scottsboro: The American Tragedy of the South to learn more about the case.
