Thomas Dausgaard

Thomas Dausgaard (born 4 July 1963 in Copenhagen) is a Danish conductor. Since 1997, he has been Principal Conductor of the Swedish Chamber Orchestra. From 2001-2004, he was Principal Guest Conductor of the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, and from 2004 is its Principal Conductor. He has recorded for the Chandos and Marco Polo labels music of Per Nørgård, Johan Svendsen, Johan Peter Emilius Hartmann, Rued Langgaard, Dag Wirén, and Asger Hamerik. He has also embarked on a series of recordings for SIMAX of the music of Ludwig van Beethoven.
