Thomas Carr (bishop)

The Rt Rev Thomas Carr (1788-1859 [1]) was the inaugural Bishop of Bombay between 1836 and 1851[2]. In retirement he gave key evidence in a famous court case[3]. He died at Bath on 5 September 1859. His grandson William Awdry was also a Bishop.
