[edit] Magnus
It appears that Sauron and Magnus the Red are very similar, as both are wise, have belonged to a great race once but fell into darkness, and use a red eye in their symbology. (and that's just the LotR books, as the film was made obviously later than Magnus) Maybe this should be expanded upon? Superknijn
[edit] Info missing
Why has there been information deleted during the article overhaul? Restructuring it is fine by me but the deletion of hard researched info is a bit annoying. What happened to the detail on Tizca? In fact "Tizca" isn't even mentioned. Why? (Olis 02:58, 16 October 2005 (UTC))
- Because there is no mention of Tizca in the articles I used as sources. According to the Index Astartes article I used as my main source, there was only a single city on Prospero, called the "City of Light".
- I believe that the information regarding the name of Tizca came from the Horus Heresy CCG, and as far as I know the canonicity of the card game is uncertain, and unaccepted by many players I know. Also, at least some of the information on Tizca can be found in the Prospero (world) article.
- Having just now reread over the material that was previously in the article, and read the Prospero article, I would have to say that I am not sure if the information regarding the world of Prospero should remain in it's own article, or that the second article be merged into this one. If you want to pursue either option I'm not going to stop you.
- I apologise if it appears that I have made an error in judgement regarding the contents of this article Saberwyn 03:24, 16 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Suggested 40k Article Guidelines
I have:
- An overall page of general guidelines
- A list that defines different types of articles on differt subjects
-
- For Armies "Army Page"
- For Technology "Technology Page" (equivalent to "Weapons, Vehicles, Equipment Page", or, "WVE page")
- For Notable Planets "Notable Planet Page"
- (User:Pak21 already made guidelones for notable characters, but a link to that is included)
- A statement of purpose for my guidelines
- Left room for more guidelines to come
--Nothing offical will be done with the guidelines (moved or put to use) until several Wikipedians involved in the Warhammer 40,000 project have verified it.-- Colonel Marksman's Proposed Guidelines

[edit] Mangus the Red merge
I'm suggesting this merge, as most of the information is duplicated in this article. Also, few, if any, of the other Primarchs have their own articles, so we can either split all those out, or merge them all in, for conformity (I'm excluding Horus from this generalisation, due to his other impacts on the fictional universe. -- Saberwyn 01:12, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
I agree with the merge proposal Lowris 10:44, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
Same here, seems like a good idea Hole in the wall 07:59, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] HORUS HERESY
I've made some small edits to the first two paragraphs of this section, cleaning up grammar and removing redundant words. There were also too many hyperlinks attached to names of Primarchs. I might make some other adjustments of this nature to other parts of this article. It's current state is quite messy. Primarch 00:12, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Origin of name?
Just reading it makes me suspect immediately that "Thousands Sons" is a grim play on the old first-hand descriptions of nuclear weapons by survivors of Hiroshima, "it was brighter than a thousand suns." Can anyone confirm or deny this? Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.227.120.26 (talk) 02:03, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
