[edit] Disagree with proposed deletion

Wikipedia customarily includes secondary schools. Also, the article now includes a link to the school's web site. --A. B. 07:23, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

  • The school's website is not an outside source -- it's a source produced by the school. As for the article itself, in its current state it is nothing but a directory entry. If there's something noteworthy about it, by all means it should have an article, but right now, it's a trivial stub. And it has been for over 9 months. That suggests to me that a) no significant expansion is possible, or b) nobody cares to do it. If it's the first, then it doesn't rate an article, because there's no encyclopedic information to convey; if it's the second, then such expansion should proceed so that the article is worth keeping. I suggest you consider AfD instead. Also, Wikipedia:Proposed deletion#Nominating a proposed deletion recommends you let the original author know that the article is being PROD'd using {{PRODWarning|Article title}} --A. B. 07:46, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Notable?

There is at least one notable alumna- Yeardly Smith, voice actress known for playing Lisa on The Simpsons went there. Unfortunately, I can't find a good source for this, but if someone else can, it should be included. Cabbers 03:07, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

10/21/07 Yes, Yeardly Smith did attend Thornton Freinds School and graduated in 1982. Source: Thornton Friends School Year Book and Graduation program. Singer Songwriter, Toshi Reagon also attended, also graduating in 1982. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.25.139.128 (talk) 13:31, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
