[edit] Dominant strings
The bit about Dominants being a standard for comparison (or known starting place when searching for the best strings for an individual violin) comes from a commment Michael Darnton made on Maestronet regarding his time at Bein and Fushi, saying that if a violin needed other strings than mittel Dominants to work well, it would go back into the workroom to find out why and fix it. __Just plain Bill 13:39, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
