[edit] Dud links
Here are some dud links that I've just deleted from the article:
- Thomas Tulis at ATHICA: Athens Institute for Contemporary Art Inc., Atlanta, Georgia Says nothing about Tulis's work other than that he is one of 10 photographers whose work is shown.
- George Adams Gallery*Art in America No information whatever
- Mint Museum, Charlotte, North Carolina Says nothing about Tulis, a name that doesn't appear when searched for.
- Art World of Atlanta merely lists his name, pointing to an article that's linked separately
- Atlanta based Artists Host doesn't exist
- Amerikar TÜRKüleri sevdi Contains a photo captioned Türkülerin buğulu sesini duyup konser alanına gelen Amerikalı Thomas Tulis adlı ressamın yaptığı 'Fatih Kısaparmak ve Türk Bayrağı' figürlü resim, günün karesi oldu. Unfortunately I don't read Turkish. Perhaps this is of Tulis; photographically, it's unremarkable.
- A Gallery For Fine Photography, New Orleans, Louisiana Tulis is listed as one of over 30 photographers whose work will be exhibited.

- I've recycled one or two of those within notes, as it does / they do give (minimal) support for statements. -- Hoary 01:22, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Rewriting needed
I find a lot of this article hard to understand. Some of what I do understand appears to present a point of view rather than the uncontroversial facts. I've put a number of questions within SGML comments in the article itself. Perhaps somebody who, unlike me, knows about Tulis's works will be able to do the necessary rewriting. -- Hoary 01:22, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
Examples:
- This sparseness seems to infuse his work with a complexity not known to many in the art world. POV
- His eye is the lens of his camera. What does this mean?
- He creates surreal worlds for the viewer to experience through his eyes. Who says they're surreal? Surreal in what way? (What I've seen doesn't look surreal?)
- He anticipates an image to capture the essence of his subject matter. Don't most photographers do this?
