I don't know if he's notable in truth. I figured if an English entomologist from the Tudor era was known to a French Wikipedian that might indicate he's got staying power, but I don't know.--T. Anthony (talk) 13:13, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

I see the creator of the French Wikipedia article has a page here at User:Valérie75. I guess I could ask her why she felt he was notable.--T. Anthony (talk) 13:15, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
In fact many to most of the articles I've taken from the French were originally by her. Possibly the French have different notability standards on those in the life sciences. I think some of these are notable though.--T. Anthony (talk) 14:42, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
