If Thomas McElwain still consiters himself to be a baptist, how is he a muslim convert?--Sefringle 02:09, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Muslims belive Jesus (pbuh) was a Muslim. --Striver 22:21, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
How is that relevant. Baptists are Christians. How can you be a cnovert to Islam if you are still a Christian?
If you belive Islam to be the next step of Jesus teachings, then you have no conradiction. Look, the article just presents McElwain's ideas, it does not assert them to be true. E-mail McElwain and explain to him why he is wrong, make him to a re-traction and then we can add to the article that he has changed his mind. --Striver 12:13, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
But if he is a baptist, he isn't a muslim.--Sefringle 23:25, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
I think the problem is that the article isn't worded clearly - I was confused too. The question is, what does he consider himself to be: A baptist who isn't a muslim, or a muslim who is also a baptist? --Macduff 02:44, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
