"To accommodate the workers for these mills, a village was settled surrounding Mr. Leiper's home of "Strath Haven" and given the name "Avondale" for his home town in Scotland."[1] The house is named Strath Haven and the village was named Avondale. Dlenmn 22:13, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
