I have had another attempt at the article, removing any content that may be accused of being a copyvio, and adding fuller sources. Jack1956 (talk) 21:07, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- At a glance this appears to still have the same copyright concerns. You can't just take text from other sources and reuse them, you have to write from scratch in your own words.

- The article has been completely rewritten, as examining it properly will show. The anonymous user (also known as Dreamguy) has nominated this for deletion as he is unhappy that I have discovered his on-going use of sockpuppets to circumvent Wiki policy. - These false accusations of sockpuppeting, assumptions of bad faith) simply do not change the fact that the contents of the article copied and pasted text straight from another website, as detailed on the main article. - At no stage were either of the Openshaw articles 'copied and pasted'. Both articles are based mainly on his obituary, rewritten and extended using other sources by me, including, in a minor capacity, the Barts article. This new article is entirely in my own words. I am sorry that you feel my accusation of sockpuppetry is false. I assure you that I am 100% sincere about it and that it does not arise out of maliciousness in any way. None of us are here for personal glory or enhanced reputation. We all surely want the best for Wiki and to extend knowledge. I cannot just stand by and see that damaged. If the Openshaw article is not up to standard then it will go. That will be sad but it won't be the end of my world. Jack1956 (talk) 21:26, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

- User:DreamGuy's pretty much right here. I just had the two (this and version of main before blanking) open in separate tabs and switched back and forth. All the changes are superficial, such as rewording noncontent phrases and removing small amounts of content. It easily makes WP:CSD#G12. --lifebaka (Talk - Contribs) 00:56, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

The "Interests" and "Last Years" section of the biography are still almost the same as the London and Barts archive article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Revmagpie (talk • contribs) 09:28, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
The 'Interests' section is a list of societies of which Openshaw was a member. How do you rewrite the name of a society? Jack1956 (talk) 08:10, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
