[edit] GA Review

This review is transcluded from Talk:Thomas H. Tongue/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

I have placed the article on hold. Here are a couple of things to work on:

  1. In the career section, the statement He replaced William D. Hare as both mayor and state senator has no citation.
  2. In the Congress section, ...before dying in office before the 58th seems a bit awkward to me.

Thank you for the review, both items have now been addressed. Aboutmovies (talk) 08:44, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
One more thing. In the lead, There he would serve in the Oregon State Senate from 1889 to 1893 and was the seventh mayor of the county seat is a little bit off. First, the "there" being discussed is Washington County, but didn't he serve in Salem? Second, we should probably clarify that Hillsboro is the county seat, even though it is mentioned later in the article. Ice Cold Beer (talk) 03:01, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
OK, let me know if the new version works. Aboutmovies (talk) 07:31, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
It was mostly good. The mention that Hillsboro is the county seat of Washington County seemed sort of out of place, so I've removed it. Since Hillsboro is wikilinked and we mention that it's the county seat later in the article, it seems ok to remove it from the lead.
I've decided to list the article. Nice work! Ice Cold Beer (talk) 04:46, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Great, thanks. Aboutmovies (talk) 07:55, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
