[edit] Primary sources tag

Re the "primary sources" tag - I don't see that as appropriate. The text is from the Catholic Encyclopedia, a tertiary source. All text from that sources may have issues with POV; but if so, the tagging should reflect that instead. Charles Matthews (talk) 11:56, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

I think maybe the title of the tag is slightly misleading. The tag says "This article or section needs sources or references that appear in reliable, third-party publications. Primary sources and sources affiliated with the subject of the article are generally not sufficient for a Wikipedia article",
This article does need refs to "reliable, third-party publications", and the Catholic Encyclopedia (which is a source "affiliated with the subject of the article") can hardly be regarded as a third-party source wrt a Catholic archbishop. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 15:00, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
