So, it was a job that had to be done... The same excuses the SS staff were saying. IMHO, if you KNOW you're about to kill civilians (especially THAT many and in such a horrible manner) and just go ahead and do it - and, what's worse, without expressing the slightest remorse afterwards, saying "it was a job that had to be done" - you're a criminal. If he had any humanity, he should have committed suicide. Elp gr 21:23, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

That is utter nonsense. 1) show that the crew knew what that bomb would do ("THAT many and...horrible manner"), 2) show that Ferebee bought into it (and was agreeable, and based on the knowledge of what would happen = your a criminal), 3) Show how that ties/compares to SS activities (some sort of "final solution" ie. as in the Jews) and 4) why he must express remorse (commiting suicide, thereby indicates 'humanity')....?
He was the bombadier, not the Captain. Or any other authority figure. And, please, don't say he's the same as a soldier personally abusing POW or concentration camp inmates with a whip...Engr105th (talk) 07:49, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
