boss ph5 doesn't exist

I'm going to add this guitar: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v134/nowimlost/100_1199.jpg to the past equipment section. It's a Les Paul Double Cut Pro (the neck inlays are a slightly smoky colour compared to a standard +), only I'm not sure what the colour is. It's not listed as an available colour, but I think its called Tri Burst. I'm going to list it as that for now, if anyone can find the definite colour post it here. I have more photos of Thom playing this guitar but they all seem to be from the same show, so he didn't use this guitar for long I don't think. I'm also the one who fixed the Boss Phaser, Thom uses a PH-2 Super Phaser, the previous model to the current PH-3, here is proof: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v134/nowimlost/thomspedalboard.jpg --Olliemilne 18:05, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jekyll + Hyde?

88.106.191.188 added info on this pedal, which I have never seen used by. Could you please provide a picture of this pedal in use? --Olliemilne 01:01, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

FOLLOW UP: Info removed until an image of this pedal in use is provided. I'm certain Tom has never used this pedal. --Olliemilne 02:33, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] ESP/LTD Debate

A few people have been editing between ESP and LTD; all these guitars are LTDs, none have been full ESPs. The difference is akin to Fender and Squier; there is a difference in cost and build quality, and people who use Squiers are never said to use Fenders, so the LTD links should REMAIN as LTD. As there is no page for LTD though, I decided to link to the ESP guitar page because it contains info about LTD being a separate brand. If anyone changes these guitars back to LTD again, I will revert. Proof: Note LTD on each headstock. Sunburst Viper: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v134/nowimlost/music/DSC00039Medium.jpg

Do not change these links back to ESP! Olliemilne 19:22, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] DD5/DD6

Many people have changed the Boss DD5 into a DD6. Tom himself states quite clearly here: http://www.thefalloftroy.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3385&st=15 (tom is the poster "TomSerak") that he has a DD3 and a DD5. Granted that post was a long time ago, but there has been no proof since to show that he has upgraded it to a DD6. The two pedals are near identical, the only differences being the 6 has a longer delay time and a "warp" mode, which when the footswitch is depressed increases the feedback level - essentially, more repeats are heard. Until someone can prove that he has a DD6 with a picture, I'll keep changing it back to 5, because that came straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak. People have recently tried to say some of the sounds heard on the self-titled album were produced with a DD6 - a physical impossibility, as the self titled album came out August 2003, yet that post is dated Nov 2004, and no mention of a DD6 is made. In the end it doesn't make a difference, as the two pedals are very similar, but I can back up my presumption with something Tom himself said. If someone can find a clear photo of him with a DD6, let's change it, its about time he upgraded! Olliemilne 04:39, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Age of 15 is bullshit

I talked to someone who has known Thomas for ages and they said that Thomas has been playing guitar since he was a fetus and they remember seeing him play Nirvana covers at a 5th grade talent show.

-Do you realise that saying he's been playing since he was a fetus is also bullshit? You could also be making up the nirvana thing as well (or the person who told you could). But as there was no source for the age 15 thing either, it doesn't matter if its removed. Olliemilne 00:07, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Tom's father said on the forums sometime that he started when he was 14/15. --Ciaranpower 17:11, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Equipment lists????

You're kidding me. How is that something that should be in an encyclopedia? DreamGuy 05:07, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

How is it not!??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dimedude (talkcontribs) 16:56, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
Plenty of guitarists have equipment lists on their pages. See Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, The Edge, Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Tom Morello, the list goes on and on. What makes this case different is the lack of any other info on the page, which is something that worries me also. Problem is there just isn't any sourced material on him to put here. I'd love to expand this page and the whole fall of troy wiki collection, something I've started with Manipulator (now a start class article and almost a B class I feel), but as of now, until they interview Thom in a magazine and speak about him personally, this page will just be a giant equipment list. Perhaps at some point I'll try to rewrite it as a paragraph of prose and not a list as seen in some of those articles. Please don't delete it though, all the info here is correct and a lot of people are very interested in his equipment. If you can contribute to the article please do so, I'd love to see this article get better. Thanks. Olliemilne 14:45, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
