[edit] NPOV dispute Political career

I specifically dispute the following language:

He was interviewed by a panel of three former State Comptrollers and a group of legislators on January 24, 2007, receiving praise from both Republican and Democrats alike.

Nevertheless, he was not one of the three finalists endorsed by the review panel. This set into motion a "revolt" by the State Legislature, which ignored the panel's recommendations, since not one Assemblyman was considered qualified for the post.

First, the citation goes to a link that is now dead. Second, "receiving praise...alike" is biased because it suggests that there was overwhelming praise for him in the panel, and that can't be accurate since the panel did not endorse him. Third, "Nevertheless" implies there was something wrong with the panel's decision not to endorse him and that is not a neutral statement. I'm not ready to propose alternative language yet, but this is definitely not NPOV. Aepstein607 21:45, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

  • Well suggest some new language and we can find some middle ground. I don't think the language is that divisive, but please feel free to suggest changes. MrMacMan 01:02, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
    • Since it's been six months and the text doesn't add to the content, I removed the offending language. Muboshgu 02:44, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
