According to Doorkeeper of the United States House of Representatives, Thomas Claxton served as Doorkeeper from 1795 to 1819. The Doorkeeper would seem to be a different Thomas Claxton than the one this article is about (given that the subject of this article was 5 years old in 1795 and had been dead for 6 years in 1819) 63.78.97.2 (talk) 16:22, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
