It is totally incorrect to state that The Stylistics never recovered after the departure of Thom Bell as their producer. While it could be argued that the band produced their best output with Bell, I am confused as to why you state that they never recovered. Recovered in terns of what? Quality musical ouput or chart success. Yes in ternms of US success on the pop charts they did not recover, but that is not the story the rest of the world over. In fact in Europe the band were bigger than ever after Thom's departure. After teaming with Van McCoy and Hugo & Luigi they became massively successful betwenn 1974 and 1976, achievung UK number 1 Pop with 'Can't give you anything' in the Summer of 1975, as well as a number of other Top 10 successes.
