Do we really need a list of prominent personalities here? Are they all-inclusive?--Nitin 17:23, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Syrian Christian lineage

Syrian Christian parody!:I too knew this! that the Syrian Christians of Kothamangalam,Mylakompu,Arakuzha(Muvattupuzha) were converted by St.Thomas the Apostle. He came here in these places and may be many more for conversion(dont get mad!this is something 2000+ yrs back!).The Malekurizhu Church in Arakuzha is having St.Thomas foot marks etc.the family histories of most families here in Kothamangalam,Arakuzha,Mylakompu etc claims St.Thomas came here to convert. this can be noted as,the Syrian Christians here in above areas have a different family names which is not that of Thrissur Syrians nor Kottayam Syrians!.

While majority of Thodupuzha Syrian Christians are those from Palai as is seen from the family name.while native Syrians are also in Thodupuzha as is the places near to like Mylakompu,Nagapuzha,Muthalakodam etc.

Now Palai/Kottayam(few) Syrians are those migrated from N.Paravur,Iringalakuda,Kunnamkulam etc 1100+ years back. The Palai Syrians are having Jewish blood as the first converts are majorly Jews(kochini jews).the ferocious nature of Palai people are(were) from their ancestors.Infact many Jacobites near Muvattupuzha were those who came this way.the Muvattupuzha-Edappally route is where these people came.many of these ancestors settled in Mazhuvannoor Gramam.others left to Kuravilangad and south.these are all noted in different Kudumbayogams.I am always interested to know more reg the same.
