[edit] Summary

Description

"Thomas the Tank Engine" hand-woven rug - created from a commercial kit (circa late 1980's - manufacturer unknown).
The picture is that used on the cover of book 2 of The Railway Series by the Rev. W. Awdry (Thomas the Tank Engine), and occurs in the story Thomas and the Trucks. The location in the picture is "Henry's Tunnel" (one of the Ballahoo tunnels); Thomas is heading west-bound, towards Gordon's Hill. (This unusually clear location information is provided by the story text!)
