Actually, they're allowed to remove the PROD even without improving the article - the PROD notice says "You may remove this message if you improve the article or otherwise object to its deletion for any reason." I think that's because PROD is only meant to be for totally uncontroversial deletions. If the PROD notice is taken off, the only place to go is AfD, which I have done here. No worries :). Around 6% of NYC's current population is around 400,000 - 500,000. Plus, considering the city's status as having the US's most numerous LGBT community, I think that's an accurate figure.

Your revert and comments demonstrate that you have failed to read the section you removed.

Here is a timeline of events, with quotes from the article:

  • 1) "In December 2007, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board..."
  • 2) "April 22, 2008 education board's Academic Excellence and Research Committee unanimously voted against allowing the ICR to issue science..."
  • 3) "On the following day the full Board unanimously voted against allowing the ICR to issue science degrees."

Thus, there are two different votes and the material is not, as you said, "stated twice."

Moreover, all mainstream science organizations are going to be "opposed to creationism." However, the opposition is not reason to leave out a WP:RS. Paper45tee (talk) 22:54, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

It's not helpful to merely contradict another editor. If you are going to assert that the material is properly sourced, you should make an effort to explain why you think that. This matter has been discussed extensively in Talk. Here is an example of what you just called "properly sourced" in the article. In fact, it does not have a single source, so what exactly are you talking about???

The Middle East region has been a focal point of much anti-American sentiment in the latter decades of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st, often blamed on specific U.S. policies in the region, particularly its close relationship with Israel and its stance on such matters as Sudan's civil war and Darfur. However, some argue that the real roots lay in government policy as reflected in state-directed media. By this reasoning, America is blamed for failed systems in the Middle East, as a means of re-directing internal dissent outwards, towards what Osama Bin Ladin has called "the far enemy", America, instead of at indigenous regimes.
The term Great Satan, as well as the chant "Death to America" have been in continual use in Iran since at least the Iranian revolution in 1979. The Iranian capital Tehran has many examples of anti-American murals and posters sponsored by the state; the former U.S. Embassy in the city has been decorated with a number of such murals.

No, the examples you gave are not properly cited. The polls you mention do not describe themeslves as indicators of anti-American sentiments, and the respondents to those polls didn't describe ther responses as anti-Americanism. So, in fact, Wikipedia is the only place that calls those polls anti-Americanism. For us to call it that is original research. ...and so on. Please revert your own revert. Jumping into an extremely controverisal topic without knowing what you're doing doesn't help anything. All the edits I made were discussed in the Talk page. All the removed text violates policies on neutrality and original research. Your behavior borders on vandalism. How does it constitute vandalism? I own the book, I took the time to look up the relevant passages, I referenced FIVE different sections of the book, not online, the HARD COVER copy of the book, printed on paper, I listed my references properly and summarized the information therein.

If you have a problem with the content, I'm sorry, but that's what it says. If you want me to quote large sections of the book verbatim, I'll be happy to do that. The information is valid, its informative and its referenced. I don't know where you get off accusing me of vandalism: you are removing valid info from an article, YOU are the one vandalizing the page. I'm reverting it because you have no valid claim on destroying my very pain-staking research. Do you have an idea how long it takes to summarize information contained in a 700+ page book, with an index that only references names so I have to scan individual pages looking for my pertinent passages? I am very put out you high-handedly deleted my careful and thorough work. please read the talk page- untill a proper case for inclusivity is established, the most conservative version of the article must remian- it still needs to be argued for- maybe some of those things might be included later- but there is no reason for high school societies, and honor societies and final clubs etc- that are not true "Collegiate Secret Societies" to be included, this needs to be established on the talk page first, before accepted inclusion. I'm very new to this and note that you've just made a contribution of mine (my first) 'Vandalism'. I've checked the definition and it says the following:

Vandalism is any addition, removal, or change of content made in a deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of Wikipedia. The most common types of vandalism include the addition of obscenities or crude humor, page blanking, or the insertion of nonsense into articles.

Any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism.

I don't thimk my contribution was obscene, crude or nonsensical (well, I know it wasn't). I've no idea what page blanking is. I was genuinely trying to improve the entry on Georga Lamb, who has caused a fair old fuss in England (and beyond). I recognise that my technical skills may not be up to much, yet, but I'm concerned at your actions. How can I correct this?

On the Gibson ES-330 model you reverted a series of edits from an IP. Just wondering what was wrong with the IP edits? On quick review the addition of the guitar model infobox seemed OK. Image was too big maybe. IP may have added in a couple of POV fan favorite model players.(thats commons on Wiki) Is there something I am not seeing? Just wondering. Cheers and take care. Hey, I really like Huggle and I noticed your offer to send the source code by email on request. Then I noticed you don't have email enabled... If you don't want to send it out, I totally understand, but I haven't been able to successfully decrypt huggle beyond 19065 KB of machine code, even when using MS Visual Studio 2005 Pro Ed. (And wow does that mc hurt my eyes.... ;) ). If your offer is still open, I do have email enabled (what I've done in the past when emailing files to fellow users of teh wiki is to email them and tell them on their talk page, then they reply to the email to give me their actual email address and then I send them the file) and I'd really like to take a look at the code for that. The Tocharians have lost their language by adopting the Bactrian and Sogdian dialects when they invaded central Asia and became urban. Tocharian language is also not an iranic language since Iranic languages are belonging to the satem (100) groups. Tocharian language was belonging to the centum (100) group...that means the language was close to German, scandinavian languages and slavic languages.

I guess from a certain perspective, you are right. This is an Encylopedia and should contain all data about everything, and should be updated as soon as the facts have been made public. In this case: The moment an episode airs, Wikipedia should contain every iota of data that was relayed in the episode. Heck, it should be updated live while the episode is airing.

However, I think it is very rude to put in the first line of an article one of the surprise elements of a pivotal episode. Not everybody had a chance to watch the episode when it aired; myself included. I should not have been using the internet until I'd watched it; But I had no idea somebody would be so careless/thoughtless and leave a big ol' spoiler right at the top of the page.

The reason I said that is the "official" logo because this is the logo I have seen being used in all the advertisements. One of the oldest Jewish communities in the World exists in the Southern Mediterranean region, so I believe they should not be obliterated in discussions of the region. Furthermore, the Architecture article is insanely unreal. It is akin to grouping American (USA)architecture with Columbian or MAyan architecture or the architecture of the Amazonian tribes. It may be OK to write fairytales on WIkipedia and it has lasted for very long but isn't it time someone did something to correct it? Yes, it's ok now. (I removed the tags) Just two suggestions to help you when creating and writing articles on Wikipedia: The first is, make sure your article is cited to reliable sources. Second, always write from a neutral point of view. This basically means that you present all sides of an issue in a fair and equal manner, do not include glorifying text or promotional material (unless a reliable third-party source says so: eg. And forget about the TCM page??? - In the ERP Software Section - it allows for pages about the product and the company - all the other vendors have similar pages to what I've submitted so I'm a bit confused. The TCM - Time Critical Manufacturing page you are referring to is a pure advertising page. Its main problem is that it does nothing to assert that the subject is notable in anyway. It reads like an advertisement and could well be a copy of a web page (which is not allowed per WP:COPYVIO. Please check WP:CORP for information on what is an appropriate corporate page to create on Wikipedia. [edit] Why did you call what I was doing "Vandalism"?

I'm really quite annoyed that you suddenly sent me 4 messages about vandalism and threatening to block me from editing. I have never done any such thing.

I have been a Wikipedian for a long time and never have I been called such ridiculous rubbish. Kindly tell me in what way was I vandalising.

I have created a new Category called WAGs because I'm currently working on the biographies of footballers' wives and girlfriends. I have created, for instance, Nuria_Bermudez just this week; this is a brand new article. I plan to do a new article for all the Spanish La Liga WAGs.

I then realised that there wasn't a WAGs category, so I created one: Category:WAGs.

Because Nuria looked a bit silly as the only WAG, I then went to the article WAGs and looked to see what other WAGs I could edit, and add the new category.

I was speeding through them all when you suddenly bombarded me with four messages, saying I was vandalising pages. I am most offended by this, and I should like an immediate retraction. But, furthermore, a full explanation as to why you believe that what I was doing could, in any way, constitute vandalism.

I particularly resent being told this from a Wikipedian who has only just joined 6 months ago. Quite who do you think you are? Furthermore, you are not British, therefore I cannot see what on earth you know about Cheryl Cole or Coleen McLaughlin.

Yeah, that was a major cultural misunderstanding on my part. I am not at all familiar with acronyms associated with British sports and the only definition of "WAG" that I knew of prior to my "initiation" today is purely derogatory. I'm really sorry about that. Thingg⊕⊗ 17:43, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
