[edit] Biography
This Days Fury were formed in July 2004 after the split of Dewsbury pop punk band Invitation To Treat. Former Invitation To Treat guitarists Simon Lee and Matthew Stringer joined with local drummer Martin Williams and bassist Joe Prendergast to begin work on a new, heavier musical project at Jam Studios, Leeds. The band was completed in September of 2004 with the addition of vocalist Liam Brett.
This Days Fury played their first gig in October 2004 at The Market Tavern, Bradford. This was followed by a successful string of dates covering the majority of West Yorkshire and surrounding counties.
After a year of intense gigging around the UK, the band recorded a two-track EP at HD1 Studios in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. The tracks This Days Fury and Runaway became popular in the local Rock and Metal scene quickly establishing the band a dedicated following, nicknamed the 'TDF Beat Down Crew'.
Drummer Martin Williams parted ways with This Days Fury in 2005 leading the way for the young Sam Prendergast, younger brother of bassist Joe Prendergast to bring his hard hitting style into the band.
The band followed this up with a number of dates with bands such as Random Hand, A Destructive Issue, Howards Alias, Kyrbgrinder, Clone The Fragile, Revenance, Test Switch Isolator, San Andreas, Half Price and Allerjen.
[edit] Nineteen Days To Die
The band hit the studio again in the summer of 2006 to record their 4 track EP 'Nineteen Days To Die' with producer Tim G in Manchester, England. The EP received very positive reviews from Powerplay Magazine and the online Leeds Music Scene review website. The Ep featured the tracks 'Nineteen days To Die' 'Casualty Of Souls' 'Blood Oath' and 'Uncertainty (Is The Hardest Game To Play)'
The EP was followed up with successful support slots with fellow yorkshire band Beyond All Reason and American Post Hardcore band boysetsfire in the summer of 2006.
[edit] Split
It was announced on the bands website in December 2006 that the band would be splitting up indefinitely. They played their last show on December 22nd 2006 at Bradford Rio.
[edit] Side Projects
