"This Pain" is the name of a 1997 duet single by British pop group Five Star and 80's British pop group Bros, reaching #27 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the U.S. in April of that year. The duet came about as Matt had always admired Denise Pearson's vocal ability, and Denise had always 'adored' Matt when he was in Bros. The two became friends - and even rumours of a relationship, on which the song is supposedly based - the pain of breaking up with someone.
