This Moment to Be Free, released on the 37 Records label, is the fourth studio album recorded by jazz singer Cris Barber. The album was produced by Cris Barber and Ryan Hafer, with arrangements by Cris and jazz keyboardist Karen Hammack. The backing musicians were recorded at Sounden Studios in San Clemente and The Tone Factory in Las Vegas, with vocals recorded at Secret Ninja Studios in Westminster.
The album marks the second collaboration between Cris and Ryan Hafer. Featured on the album are musicians Karen Hammack on keyboards, Barry Cogert on bass, Aldo Bentivegna on drums, Jamie Findlay on guitar, Greg Vail on sax, and Kurt Rasmussen on percussion.
