Thirunadhikkara Cave Temple

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thirunandikkara Cave Temple is a rock-cut cave temple of Pallava art dated seventh and eighth century AD. It is part of Thirunandikkara temple, which is located near Thiruvattar in Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu state of South India. Though only sketchy outlines seem to have survived the ravages of time, it is presumed that the cave must have once been richly decorated with paintings executed in the 9th or 10th century AD.
