[edit] Plot summary
Princess Catterina (Sylvia Sidney) arrives in New York in search of aid for her backward kingdom, assisted by financier Richard Gresham (Edward Arnold). However, she contracts the mumps and has to be quarantined. In desperation, Gresham hires actress Nancy Lane (Sidney again) to impersonate the princess and offers her a large bonus to change the mind of the chief opponent of the financial proposal, publisher Porter Madison III (Cary Grant).
