Thiocyanic acid

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thiocyanic acid is the chemical compound with the formula HSCN. It is unstable with respect to the isomeric isothiocyanic acid, HNCS.[1]It is known mostly in its salt forms.

HSCN is predicted to have a triple bond between carbon and nitrogen. It has been observed spectroscopically but has not been isolated as a pure substance.[2]
