Thierry Zéno

Thierry Zéno (April 22, 1950 in Namur - ) is a Belgian author-filmmaker.
In 1974, after having produced a short film about a patient of a Namurian psychiatric hospital that practiced rough art, he released a "monument of Belgian cinema", influenced by Félicien Rops and praised by Henri Michaux: Vase de Noces. For some, it was a long, fascinating metaphysical poem and, for others, a repulsive work.
Since then, he has simultaneously been pursuing work as an ethnological documentarist and an approach of film on art.
Zéno created a "video" department at the Académie de dessin et des arts visuels de Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, where he had been teacher and currently is director. In his current position, he is in charge of administration, logistics and security.
