Thierry Desmarest

Thierry Desmarest (born December 18, 1945) is a French businessman. He is the current chairmen of Total. In mid-2006 Thierry Desmarest announced his intention to resign as Chief Executive Officer, while keeping his post as Chairman. He was replaced as CEO in February 2007 by Christophe de Margerie.
