Thiago Carleto Alves or simply Thiago Carleto (born March 24, 1989 in São Bernardo do Campo), is a Brazilian left back. He currently plays for Santos.
Made professional debut for Santos in the São Paulo State Championship against Juventus-SP on April 11, 2007.[1]

On March 2, 2008, English media reported that Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United were battling to sign Thiago for a fee of around £5million. Thiago has been quoted in saying ""I am happy that Manchester United and Real Madrid are interested as they are two of the best clubs in the world.".
