Most of this article is a copyright violation. The text has been taken from the website: http://www.eslmusic.com/artists/thievery-bio.html. If anyone out there wants to rewrite this article, let me know. If I don't hear from anyone within a couple days, I'm going to list it under Copyright problems.

Re: copyright problems: Please don't fret, very little has been taken from their overall website: some content and a photogaph. All in all its what the law considers "fair use" and especially on a website like Wikipedia which provides educational material. --Misha
Anyone else notice how uncannily David Byrne (Talking Heads) the singing seems on "The Heart's a Lonely Hunter"? Even the backing sounds a little bit Talking Heads...

Hey, does anybody know for sure if its ASTRUD Gilberto (Joao's ex-wife) or BEBEL Gilberto (Joao's Daughter, also a recording artist, but not actually related to Astrud) that Theivery has collaborated with? I don't have liners to check by but I swear its bebel on So Com Voce off "Mirror Conspiracy"… if anybody knows for sure before I find it somewhere…

That is Bebel in "So Com Voce", but I still can't find Astrud documentation, so Im adding Bebel, but not deleting Astrud… They remixed a song on a Verve complation, so there is at least an association. Xodiaq 19:47, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

I've received notification that the main image on this article is likely to be removed under the {{Replaceable fair use}} rationale, which states that "it illustrates a subject for which a free image could reasonably be found or created".
If anyone has (or can source) a suitable free image of Thievery Corporation, that could replace the one currently used, please upload it and replace the existing image. Alternatively, if anyone wishes to contest the decision to remove this picture, please edit the image page, add the {{Replaceable fair use disputed}} template and provide justification on that page as to why it should be retained as a fair use image. The photo was taken from the Amazon.com Web site, and those images are free to use. I don't think Thievery Corporation will mind its use.

I'm recommending changing a lot of the phrasing. Stuff like "they had already begun to define a new genre of electronic music and connect with an international community of like-minded souls...they have been at the top of their game ever since" sounds completely like an ad.
