[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:VHS Small.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:VHS Small.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? [edit] Advice
A good way to avoid having your article deleted "speedily" by patrollers is by asserting in the text why the subject of the article is notable, or special in some way. Please read WP:N for details. In the case of the high school you seem to be working on, if its the one I remember, you might want to indicate why it is special - the fact that it was one of the first English-style Afrikaans-medium schools in the country, and definitely the first in the province, is helpful. Even if one avoids mentioning the whole Wilmot affair, the association with D. J. Opperman would take it out of the ordinary as well. Happy editing! --Relata refero (disp.) 14:21, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Your RFA
Hi Theo,
During routine housekeeping, I ran across your Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Theobresler. I deleted it because it wasn't created correctly, and it would be much easier in the future for you to recreate it, rather than try to fix it.
I should tell you that usually people don't succeed at RFA unless they have a few thousand productive edits, and several months participation. I suggest you review some recent RFA's to get an idea of what is expected. Thanks much for trying to help out, and I hope you still enjoy helping out in other ways! let me know if you need help with anything on my talk page. --barneca (talk) 15:35, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
