[edit] My RfA
Thank you for supporting my RfA, and for simultaneously providing a laugh with your comment!
Atlant 12:53, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- Well, it's been a week now that I've been an administrator and I'd like to take this moment to once again thank everyone who supported my RfA, and to let you all know that I don't think I've screwed anything up yet so I hope I'm living up to everyone's expectations for me. But if I ever fall short of those expectations, I'd certainly welcome folks telling me about it!

[edit] RfA thanks
Thank you very much for your support in my RfA, which passed on October 17, 2006 with a tally of 53/6/0. I am equally elated and humbled by my new capacity as administrator of Wikipedia, and I send my heartfelt thanks for your unflinching support. If you need me for anything, just ask me! [edit] My RfA thanks
Hi, Themindset! Thank you for supporting me in my RfA, which succeeded with a final tally of 75/0/1! I hope I can live up to the standards of adminship, and I will try my best to make Wikipedia a better place. Feel free to send me a message if you need any assistance. :) |

[edit] My RfA
Themindset, thanks for your support on my request for adminship.
The final outcome was a robust 62/1/1, so I am now an administrator. If you ever have any questions about my actions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
[edit] Thank you
My administratorship candidacy succeeded with a final tally of 81/0/1. I appreciate your support. Results are at Wikipedia:Recently_created_admins#Durova. Warmly, Durova 21:23, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WP:RFA/Cynical
Thank you for contributing to my RFA. Unfortunately it failed (final tally 26/17/3). As a result of the concerns raised in my RFA, I intend to undergo coaching, get involved in the welcoming committee and try to further improve the quality of my contributions to AFD and RFA. All the best. Cynical 14:58, 19 October 2006 (UTC) |
[edit] User:Themindset/RFA
Hi themindset. I noticed in your rfa criteria that you've seen "many users show up and rack up 3500 edits in under a month, and then vanish." You have me interested, because I've certainly never seen any. So out of curiousity, could you point to some of these users? Thanks. Picaroon9288 02:30, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] My RfA
Hey themindset,
I just wanted to thank you for your support in my recent request for adminship, which passed unanimously with a final tally of 38/0/0. I appreciate your trust, and will do my best to uphold it. Don't hesitate to let me know if you ever need anything. — TKD::Talk 05:30, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Hello. I stumbled upon your talk page. I wasn't sure if you were interested or not but you can put your archives in an Archive Box ({{archive box}}) like on my talk page. It makes it look a little nicer. AndreniW 04:22, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thank you
I've finally had the time squeezed in during my long Wikibreak to thank the voters and commenters on my my RfA last month, and I thank you! I'll try again as previously planned in spring, in the time period between my high school graduation and enrollment in a university. This time, I'll have time to "prepare" (and not be on Wikibreak next time). Hopefully I'll win it easily. I'll be back to the Wikipedia soon, visting xfD everyday in addition. I was glad to see that you wrote a bit on why you were neutral on my nomination, unlike many on the page. What exactly is enough experience for you, in an RfA? Do you have any tips or suggestions for me on being a good Wikipedian or administrator? Thanks again, X [Mac Davis] (SUPERDESK|Help me improve)08:40, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image replaced
Hi, I've listed your image Image:2+2.png for deletion as it's been replaced by a vector version, Image:2+2.svg. Just wanted to inform you – hope this is OK. Happy editings, –Mysid(t) 12:50, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Deletion
I believe you are confusing me for somebody else. I have not recently (or indeed, to my best recall, ever) deleted any standards page. >Radiant< 15:15, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for your concern, but I believe that when a page is considered for deletion, rewriting or improving it is a good idea. Many pages on e.g. AFD are "saved" by an editor who rewrites them to address the concerns of the community. >Radiant< 08:50, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Total science.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Total science.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok ☠ 20:01, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] game 6
Hi, thanks for pointing out the edit I botched up. I'm not sure what happened, my best guess is that a revert went wrong somehow. I did a lot of spell correction, anti vandalism etc around that time, and something must have gone wrong. Sorry for causing you extra work. Sander123 15:27, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Xfxlogov2.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:Xfxlogov2.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] 960p
I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article 960p, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. - NYC JD (make a motion) 14:24, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Talk:MDG Computers
Please do not make threats against other editors such as "Perhaps media coverage of your actions on wikipedia is what you're looking to accomplish?". [edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:Baseballstars.jpg
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Baseballstars.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:12, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:7800gt.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:7800gt.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Chessgames.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Chessgames.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Chris B • talk 15:19, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] ChessGames.com
An editor requested the speedy deletion of this article. I've declined as I don't think it met the relevant speedy deletion criteria. However without non-trivial coverage from third party sources, I'm not sure its an appropriate topic for Wikipedia. I've raised the matter for further input - Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/ChessGames.com - you may wish to contribute to that discussion and/or expand the article's references. [edit] Redirect of Old saw
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Old saw, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Old saw is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Old saw, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. You deleted the article around 18 october 2007. You say he doesn't meet "requirements" of Wikipedia.
