Speedy deletion tags
Good work doing RC Patrol, but once there is one speedy-deletion tag on an article, I don't think anything is gained by adding others. Leave it and move on to the next candidate - they keep on coming! JohnCD (talk) 20:18, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
RC Patrol
RC Patrol is short for Recent Changes Patrol - people who spend some time looking at recent changes, particularly newly-created pages, to see if they need tagging for speedy deletion or proposed deletion, or with other tags like {{unsourced}} to show that they need improvement. On the left of the screen you will see a link "Recent changes" - that gives you a screen which has too much detail to be much use, but at the top of it you will find links to "RC Patrol" which will tell you more, and to "New pages" which shows you the 50 newest pages that have been created. A good many need a speedy-deletion tag, but take care to read WP:CSD carefully, because the criteria for speedy are quite strict. JohnCD (talk) 20:29, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

- Oh I see. I thought it might be that, I left a message on the talk page informing them that they need to find new images as examples. As I don't maintain the page I wouldn't know what to replace them with. All the images were deleted in accordance with policy. Replacements will just have to be sought by those who maintain the page. Speedy deletion on Kevin Anderson (AW)
Hi - I have reviewed and declined the request for speedy deletion that you put on Kevin Anderson (AW). The reason I declined it was because the page was created by a new user at 21:31 and by 21:32 you had requested speedy. I believe it is too soon to be making the decision to delete the page. Since the user is new, they're still trying to figure out our systems, learn how to add content, etc - I'd appreciate it if you'd put it on a list and check it in 24 hours or so. If there's still no meaningful content, let me know on my talk page and I'll delete it at that point. Thanks for watching new pages, but you might just be aware of how long the creator has been a user and how frustrating it might be for them to join, try to contribute, and have a page deleted one minute later. Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button 
located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 22:29, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

- It depends on the content of the article, really. Since the definition of patent nonsense is so specific, it can't be used in a lot of cases, for instance with Ninja Buddy. The first time, I deleted it under A7, and the next time under G3. If there's not another speedy deletion criteria that applies, feel free to PROD or AFD the article. Not everything can be speedied, which is sometimes good and sometimes bad, but when it can't but still should be deleted, it's best to tag it with a PROD or an AFD. Cheers, and keep up the good work! No don't worry, I'm not going to bust your chops about tagging articles now too. I saw that you've been tagging a lot of articles for maintenance and that you're a Twinkle user. Those two things combined make me think you might want to give Friendly a whirl. It's a Twinkle-based tool that gives you a "tag" tab on articles so that you can apply maintenance templates as easily as Twinkle lets you do speedy deletions. Stub tagging functionality was previously a part of Friendly, but was removed per this discussion. Use of the {{stub}} tag is deprecated and discouraged nowadays, as it is more productive to sort stubs based on categories. Friendly does have the {{expand}} tag that you can use instead of {{stub}} in the meantime, since they essentially mean the same thing. I am planning an update in the near future that will allow you to tag an article as a sorted stub, so then the stub feature will be back in. You can post further enhancement requests to Friendly's talk page so that the whole community can discuss and participate with them. Cheers! - You should always look at the final product after editing, so you can see if it does look right. Also, newbie, don't be afraid to use a speedy tag on things that do not overtly claim some sort of reasonable notability (i.e. John Smythe, III was President Lincoln's personal tailor; is an attempt at reasonable notability; this game is teh coolest evar and everyone plays it!!!11!one! is not). Your reversions of Betacommandbot
Please stop. To begin with, the edits being made by the bot are not vandalism, and your labeling them as such is inappropriate. Secondly, the bot is doing what it is supposed to do - put warnings on images which were not uploaded with proper documentation. I looked at just one of the things you reverted, and the bot's labeling was quite proper. It was an album cover that did not have a rationale for fair use. When you understand how fair use works, and what Betacommandbot is doing, then you might be right to revert the edits, but what you are doing now is verging on vandlism, and I request that you stop. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. User talk:Rex Germanus ans Miszabot
I saw your message there, in fact Miszabot automatically put editors that are blocked in the blacklist, set to a duration that is (roughly, I never checked) twice the length of the block. This allows to double check edits by recently released users/IPs. Usually, the blacklist is for blocked IPs/Users, the greylist for users that have been reverted by an admin but since the greylist is not humanly updatable, Cluebot adds users to the blacklist too. Some Friendly Advice
I noticed on your user page that you'd like to be an admin some day. I've seen editors being opposed for adminship because they had that joke "you have new messages" banner on their user/talk page. Please note that there is an ongoing dispute among various editors as to two versions of that page, and the edits you reverted appear to have been an attempt to fix some bias problems with one of those versions. In response to your comment on the Help desk discussion, i've actually mentioned on the project page that the help desk is getting too long, and that my browser is taking too long to load the page, but all i've received is a reply saying check my Connection speed from one of the users which has nothing to do with the question which i've put.
The Help desk really needs to be archived and the messages which have been responded or is older should be erased to make the page smaller. SKYNET X7000 (talk) 17:20, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

Navigation Boxes "Customization"

Strange?
When logged out, on the sandbox page the Nav box template goes sort of fuzzy and everywhere, but when i logged in it's normal but logged out it's different, is there a chance if this could be fixed if available, if you don't know what i mean try seeing the sandbox on my userpage when logged out of wikipedia. Marking for speedy deletion and minor edit
Why was my article about a Silt out marked for speedy deletion seconds after its creation? It said in the history that the change was made using TW so I think the script must have backfired. Please remove both the speedy deletion tag end the hangon tag when you see this. It is impossible that a short article about underwater visibility can be considered an article about a person and I expect a speedy correction.

- Wow. The Helpful One needs help. Never saw that coming. =P The list of colour hex keys are at Web safe colours. Green is 00 80 00, so <font color="#008000"> produces Merry Christmas!. So, your signature with the 008000 produces:

"Sockpuppetry" accusation over analog synthesizer page
how is that 'sockpuppetry' exactly ? I've just added a new keyboard synth that wasn't there in any of the old edits, and also restored the best of two previous edits.

HELP ME - TOO MANY PAGES ON MY WATCHLIST

I have too many pages on my watchlist, which are added by either Twinkle or Friendly, I don't know which. How do I make it so that Twinkle/Friendly doesn't add it to my watchlist.
If an admin looks at this, please feel free to make the appropriate change to my monobook.js so that I don't have to do it :)

It may be Friendly, i've got twinkle and it's alright and doesn't add pages to the watchlist. See if you can remove Friendly and see if that fixes the problem. SKYNET X7000 (talk) 17:27, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

It's not confusing unless you visit my talk page. You don't come to my talk page unless you want to post to it or pick up pieces of some discussion thread. The only post you have made to my talk page or the talk page of any of the editors I am currently in a discussion with is on my talk page. And, none of the editors who made posts to my talk page since its installation ever complained.
It's not confusing if you have a sense humor. It does no damage, no harm, apart from probably making you lose a couple of seconds of time (not considering the time it takes to figure out what happened, that may vary from person to person). But, then may be you don't come to an editors talk page and suddenly start screaming if you have a sense of humor (the all cap thing was pretty rude as is).
It's not you who should be confused, as a little prank isn't that confusing at all. It's I who should be utterly baffled. Why did you have to come to my talk page to scream at me about a innocent prank? If there's an answer, please, post it to my talk page. By the way, I have removed it, too.
